Eye Shadow
Eye shadow:
Eye-shadows must have the following characteristics:
-Its pH must be slightly alkaline to avoid irritation.
-Texture must be solid enough to avoid sliding and soft enough to be easily applied.
-They must remain impeccable during hours.
There are different presentations of eye-shadows:
- Compact eye-shadow: This is the most common presentation. They can have a matte or pearly effect, both can be applied over any type of skin. They are applied with a brush. They cannot be used for television, film and photography make-up.
- Eye-shadow in cream or fluid: Not commonly used. Indicated for very dried lids. Must be avoided in wrinkled or oily lids. Can be applied with a brush or with fingertips.
- Eye-shadow pencil: Apply directly with the pencil and blend it away with a brush. It must be fixed with translucent powder.
