Face powder:

The purpose of this cosmetic is to fix makeup and give a matte effect to the skin.
Typical presentations:
- Loose powder: It gives a translucent effect on the skin since it has less covering effect than compact powder. Package may be a rectangle or round shaped box with a puff to apply the product.
- Compact powder: This product contains certain ingredients to make powder compact, such ingredients are called binders. They are substances like wax, oils, emulsified fixers and other products which purpose is to maintain the powder compact. They form a stable structure providing an effect more opaque than loose powder. Components must easily be detached from the surface.

Powder is usually dusted with a puff all over the face. The excess can be removed with a brush.
